Homemade Aluminum Lid For My Canteen Cup

I used an old lid from my Indian aluminum pot and cut out a shape for my Canteen Cup. At the edge of the lid, used plyer to bend and folded according to the shape. Lastly, skrew an old drawer knob with a ring on the knob as my lid holder. This will cut down the boiling time for this simple cook set.

These pictures were taken from a trekking trip last weekend.

DIY Stove Stand with Canteen Cup in use...

I bought this canteen cup from China and its an aluminum cup. The original cup handle was very short, I removed them and replaced with a longer rod made from an old hanger, mold them according to the curve of the cup and I have a homemade US GI Canteen Cup.

About the stove stand, I made it from thick steel wire, bought from hardware shop. The reason why I shape them like this is that it can be placed togather with the canteen cup and the bottle into the original pack. So, I have got a full set of bottle + Canteen Cup + Stove Stand with a modified pack.

Will show you guys about the canteen cup next time. This posting is more about how I use the stand to cook/boil water.

My latest stove

My latest product is a wood burning stove, made from my kids' empty milk powder tin, added with two long steel rode to support my pots. It fits perfectly with the commonly use 16cm aluminium pots. I've tested it in FRIM, few weeks ago when I brought my kids to the waterfalls. I can leave the fire alone without blowing or fanning the fire. It burns continuously until the woods finished. Sorry, I forgot to take the boiling time, as I was running around playing with my kids, the water just boils!
Planning to do more tests on the stove. Stay tune!

My apologise for not updating this blog for so long since I started it months ago.....Times are bad now, and I have been busy.
